Mel is a transgender nonbinary individual. They are a self-employed writer, mental health advocate, fighter for human rights, and the best friend a person could ask for.
They are an incredibly strong and independent person, who was working hard to ensure they could meet their goal for top surgery at the end of August. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned.
Mel is currently in the hospital, and could be for a while yet.
This means that all of their plans for getting the funds have gone out the door. A couple of Mel’s friends have decided to do what they can to make sure that Mel doesn’t have to worry about the money for their much needed surgery and, instead, can focus their energy on recovery and healing.
